School Daze

So, it's definately that time of year again. School is just around the corner. The Fall lines are starting to hit the market. The nights are a bit cooler, whispering that summer is about to be drifting off. The news {atleast in my neck of the woods} starts rattling off the newest back to schools sales, and glorious talk about the myriad of savings "No Tax" week will bring to the city.

In light of the onslaught of back to school memos, commercials and "ridiculously low" prices, I put together a little outfit for hitting all those sales. Something that protects against the impending,cooler temperatures. And perhaps, against that slimy salesman who tries to get you to buy more than you really need.....

Jeans - Indyra Originals - J'aime Ultra Low Rise
Shoes - Baby Monkey - Ellie Flats

Laid Back

You know, somedays I just want a throwback outfit. Something comfy but still me. Something that says ultra casual, but completely self assured. I can swing by the mall and grab a few things or feel totally comfortable hitting a movie or a informal bite to eat. Something flirty in a not so obvious way. And what did I come up with? Have a looksee...

Lashes - Redgrave - Catwalk{12}

IBIZARRE

So, there I was. Minding my own business when -BAM- an epic notice pops open in my right hand corner. Sale....I'm sure it said something after that, but to be honest, I quit reading after the word sale.
I was just milling around taking a look at the selection, happily I might add, considering my lag factor was nil. Things were rezzing beautifully and I really had a chance to look at the designs and textures. Needless to say I was impressed, since Ibizarre was a new find for me.
 I chose the Ornament Coat which included the black pants. I won't even tell you wait I paid for this lil gem, well, because I'd hate for you to pass out and not finish reading my entry {but also you just HAVE to go check this store out for yourself!}! Once I geared up, I figured this lil ensemble reminded me of an 'on the go' city chic look -so- thusly I popped myself right over to a New York themed burrough with beautiful lil brownstones {as you can see in the back ground} Since the black pants were cut like a skinny leg jean and had no lower leg attachment points, I paired this beaut up with Addictia's {adnata in graphite} boots. MiaMai's Ellek sculpted ponitail {white ribbon} was the perfect soft yet stylish look to compliment the high, bowled collar. Jewelry consisted of bangles from YS&YS {timbouctu}, and small bangle earrings from Sole Accesory {quilting piece-fatpack-gray}. To tie up the loose ends Klee lashes from Detour and Nails from one of my faves, Candy Nails {lock black}

Zaara

Another romatic summer look c/o Zaara. She's been blogged a thousand times over, but the quality of her work deserves it. Wearing Mrinali in sunshine, the colors just flow so well with a summer sunset. I paired it with a bangle from Creamshop{lily bangle-orange} and a simple pair of hoops from Iced. The hair is from one of my favorite stylists, Truth {Kylie in Sangria}.And completeing the look, nails from Candy Nail {Flower Garden green}

Miss Bliss Couture 2011

So, if you haven't already heard the 2011 Miss Bliss Couture Contest has begun. You can read the Official news here. I thought I'd have a gander at entering this year, so I began my search in Bliss Couture for my choice of outfit. The options were of course infinite, and each one just as phenomenal as the next! I finally settled on Jennie in gold, thinking most girls would go for formal wear as it is done so well here. It also just felt perfect for summer. Not to mention the ensemble could be worn in a variety of settings. From a day on the boat to a romantic dinner shoreshide, it's simply versatile. I paired Jennie with an elegant braided updo by Mirai and the Bubbles{gold} Jewelery set by Ganked. The oversized glam bangle earrings in white from Creamshop, Diva Pink{nails} from Candy Nail, and Bird Tale Lashes from Glam Affair complete the accesories for the look. I chose to finish the look with a pair of sexy, strappy heels from B&G. {Selena in Champagne} Photo Credits to *Rawr Adored* of A Touch of Glamour Photography Studio.
